Obituary

CAPLINGER Charles David Caplinger, 72, of South Solon, died April 25, 2013 in Eaglewood Care Center, Springfield. Born February 26, 1941 in Springfield, he was a son of Lawrence and Martha (Palmer) Caplinger. Charles had been employed as a truck driver with Kenosha Transport, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife Janice (Aylward) Caplinger; son David (Susana) Caplinger of Mason, daughter Carin (Douglas) Iten of Belleair, FL, step daughters Michelle Simmons of Englewood; granddaughters Lauren Simmons, Brittany Simmons and Erica Alva; grandsons Davis Iten, Marc Iten and Andy Alva; brother Ronald (Susan) Caplinger of Braselton, GA and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Combs. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until time of services on Friday. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
