AKERS

Cathy Ann Akers, 54, of London, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

Born June 18, 1968, in Columbus, she was a daughter of Tina (Miller) and Hansel Akers, Jr.

Cathy had a passion for any and all crafting, as well as watching OSU football. She was a huge animal lover, especially her beloved dogs. Cathy loved her family, and absolutely adored spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her mother Tina Akers; daughter Amber Johnson; siblings Keith Akers, Scott (Cindi) Akers, Jason Akers, Amy Kinnear (Vernon Roberts); grandchildren Blaze Baker, Cannon, Oaklee, and Roman Williamson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father Hank Akers, Jr.; sister Cheryl (Akers) Matthews; beloved and faithful companion Marley Akers.

Cathy was able to be an organ donor through which several other lives could be saved!

A private graveside service will be held at convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Kirkwood Cemetery, London.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that memorials in Cathy's name be made to the Madison County Humane Society, 2020 State Route 142 NE, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.
