MATHEWS Carolyn Ruth Mathews, 70, died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her residence. Born August 1, 1948 in Kenton; she was a daughter of John Edwin and Margaret Ann (Hare) Thomas. Carolyn enjoyed shopping, being with friends and most of all spending time with her grandkids. She was by far their biggest fan and did everything she could to be at every one of their events. They truly were the light of her life. She retired from Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She was preceded in death by her dad John Thomas. Survivors include her mother Margaret Thomas, husband James R. Mathews, children James R. (Misty) Mathews, Sr., Rhonda K. (Anthony) Robinson and John Thomas Mathews; grandchildren Jocelyn Mathews, Jonathan Mathews, Kaitlyn Mathews, Haley Mathews, Preston Robinson, Tyler Mathews, Parker Robinson and Joey Mathews; siblings Carl Thomas, Cheryl (Sonny) Rhodes, Carla James and Chad Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Jesus Christ Church of the Latter-Day Saints, 1070 Sheffield Blvd, London.
