Obituary

Carolyn M. Artis 78, of London went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Born June 1st, 1937 in London, Ohio; She was the daughter of John and Eva (Meadows) Howard. Carolyn married the love of her life, Earl Artis in 1960. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her husband, her children, and her home. She was also a caregiver to many children in London. She loved and treated these children as her very own. Her door was always opened and the hospitality that she showed made everyone feel special. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending services as she desired. She could be heard telling anyone "I just want to go to Church". She was a Sunday school member and also a member of the First Baptist Choir. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Bunny (Harry) Lockwood of Santa Clara, California, Lisa (Paul) Lucas of Fairborn, Ohio; Sons David (Chastity), Robert (Chris), Brian, Jason Artis all of London, and Duane Cooper of Springfield, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband of 50 years Earl Artis: 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Funeral services for Mrs. Artis will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday in the First Baptist Church of London with Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the church from 11 AM until time of services Saturday.The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St, London. Funeral Date: 2015-09-27
