Carol Marie Leistico Waggoner June 25, 1937 – July 22, 2024

Carol passed away on Monday July 22, 2024 at Springfield Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Carol was born on June 25, 1937 to Everett and Sophia Leistico. She was one of 9 children growing up in Worthington, MN. On August 5,1956 she married her husband, Wayne L. Waggoner and they finally settled down in London, Ohio in 1960. They raised 3 children, Steven, Eileen and David, while becoming involved in the community. She worked at various places including Hume and Rayburn and for The Ohio State University Extension Office where she retired from after 35 years. She turned her attention to volunteering with various organizations. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was involved in many activities within the church.

Carol was an avid seamstress, collector and traveler. She enjoyed locations around the world including Alaska, Italy, Peru and a special trip to Paris. She enjoyed long conversations on the phone with her numerous friends around the community. She also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood as much as possible.

Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in -law, Eileen and Wayman West of London. Sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Perri Waggoner of Rockwall, Texas, David and Susan Waggoner of London. She is also survived by special daughter Mona Sefjord of Oslo, Norway. Grandchildren, Robert (Trisha) West, Krista Waggoner (Zack Coleman), Brandon (Hope) Waggoner, Deborah (Damon) Drake, Stacy Sibbalds (Brian West). Great Grandchildren, Orson West and Charles West, Matt Weaver, Kelsey Weaver (Tim Blanton) and Taylor (Jeff) Patterson. Great Great Grandchildren, Campbell, Carter and Emma.

She is also survived by sisters Geraldine and Marilyn and brother Dwayne and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, parents Everett and Sophia, Step-mother Virginia, brothers, Dudley, Dale, Melvin and Robert and sister Mary.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 380 Keny Blvd, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM at the church with Pastor Blair Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
