SELDON

Carl Junior Seldon, 81, of London, died Thursday, March 28, 2024, in Madison Health.

Born October 27, 1942, in London, he was a son of Carl A. Seldon and Evelyn B. (Napper) Seldon.

Following high school, Carl went on to serve his country with the United States Army. After his time in the service, he worked for K-Mart in London as the paint department manager as well as various other locations. Carl was a member of the Madison Memorial Post #105, American Legion, where he was a member of the Honor Guard. He was also a member of the Am Vets Post #19 where he served as Commander for the past 18 years.

Carl is survived by his loving wife Helen Maxine (Radcliff) Penwell-Seldon; children Carla (Bryan) Dolby and Trina Brady; stepson Alfred Lee Penwell, stepdaughter Lisa Oiler; grandchildren Randy (Megan) Scurry, Tara Dolby, Taylor Francis, Brittany Oiler, Brannon Oiler, Zachary Penwell, Ashley Penwell, and Cassie Penwell; great-grandson Karter Scurry; sisters Dolores Evans and Betty Wilson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Bonnie Seldon; son-in-law Jim Oiler.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
