Brian Lee Budd, 52, of London, died Sunday, May 28, 2023, in his residence.
Born October 31, 1970, in Marion, he was a son of Craig William and Frances Kay (Schmidt) Budd.
After graduating from high school, Brian went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. Following his time in the Navy, he worked as a security system installer. Brian had a passion for sports, but more specifically helping youth athletes recognize their potential through coaching football and baseball. In addition, he enjoyed wrestling and watching his favorite football teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes! Outside of athletics, Brian had fun riding dirt bikes and fishing with his son. His family and in particular, his grandchildren, were the light of his life, and he deeply cherished all of the memories they made and time they were able to spend together.
Brian leaves behind four children: Danielle VanWormer, Ben (Brittany) Budd, Jacob (Caitlin) Budd, and Bryce Budd; grandchildren Joshua, Sophia, Ariah, Ainsley, plus one on the way; father Craig (Hua) Budd; sisters Julie (Jomo) Browne and Lindsay (Jason) Veselica; step-sister Jany; several nieces and nephews including Trevor, Isaiah, Coy, Elijah, and Joshua; beloved four-legged companion Daisy; former wife Amanda Budd (mother to Bryce), Mary Budd (mother to Danielle, Ben, and Jacob), and close companion Sherri Frank; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including Mary and Bill Linn.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Frances (James) Stewart; grandparents Sarah and Coy Budd and Eleanor and Carl Schmidt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, beginning at 5:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Ed Linville officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of services. To honor Brian, the family requests you wear your favorite Bengals or Buckeyes gear for the service.
