Bobby Ray Hawkins, 83, of London, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born January 28, 1939, in McCarr, Kentucky, he was a son of Ray and Lula (Whaley) Hawkins.

Bobby served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He went on to work professionally for the City of London Water Department. Bobby was a strong man of faith and attended the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and working on cars. Bobby also had a love for music, playing his guitar and singing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Norma (Toops) Hawkins; daughters Lisa Jean Hawkins and Deborah Harris; grandchildren Forrest Harris and Asher Harris; brothers Tom (Mabel) Hawkins, Roy Hawkins, Bill (Diane) Hawkins, Donnie (Terri) Hawkins; sister-in-law Alene Hawkins, brother-in-law Herman Owens; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Lula; brothers Harold (Margaret) Hawkins and Larry Hawkins, sisters Marie (Paul) Dowler and Claris Jean Owens.

Public services will not be observed in accordance with Bobby's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that memorial donations in Bobby's name be directed to the Madison County DAV Chapter# 93, c/o Phil Robinette, 111 Park Avenue, London, Ohio 43140.
