POFFENBERGER Betty L. (Crites) Poffenberger, peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 18, 2015. She was born on March 10, 1927, to Roy and Lenna (Altop) Crites, in Jasper Township, Milledgeville, Ohio. She was a long time member of the Faith Assembly Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Poffenberger, daughter Sue Ann Gatwood, brothers Kenneth Crites and Bob Crites, and sisters JoAnn Crites and Pauline Grimes. She is survived by her brother David (Margaret) Crites; sons Steven (Rose) Gordin of North Carolina and Alan Gordin of West Jefferson; daughters Jodi (Warren) Osborne of London, Anita (Lee) Dodge of Plain City, and (always considered daughter) Lynn (Rick) Shaw; grandchildren Darin (Susan) Gordin, Vance (Angie) Greene, Shelly (Michael) Haskell, Steven D. Gordin, Storm Gordin, Benee Mathias, Amanda Chaffin, Brandon Gordin, Clark Smith Jr, Wesley Smith, Brenda Osborne and eleven great grandchildren. A special thank you to caregivers Pam Hill and Dorothy Rice. Friends may call at EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 with funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at Milledgeville Cemetery on Thursday, January 22 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jerry Poff officiating.
