JANICK Betty O. Janick, 74, of Newark, OH; died Monday, April 4, 2016 in London, Ohio. Born August 23, 1942 in Moundsville, WV; she was a daughter of Paul E. and Gladys (Burge) Omear. Betty was well known as an expert sewer, making dresses, quilts, coats and many other garments. She had worked had several different jobs through her life most recently as a dispatcher with the Gordon Flesch Company. Survivors include her husband of 30 years William Janick; children Scott (Mary Jane) Blake, Lisa (Larry) Goodrich and Lane Blake; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother Paul (Shirlene) Omear , several nieces and nephews and sister in law Shanette Omear. She was preceded in death by her son Greg Blake, brother Robert Eugene Omear and sister Sandra Omear. A private burial will be held at the family's convenience in River View Cemetery, Moundsville.
