MIDDLETON
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arthur Michael “Mike” Middleton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Mike passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the James Cancer Hospital, surrounded by family.
Born on August 28, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio to Arthur and Mary Middleton, he was a graduate of Groveport High School. He demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit as a part owner of RMD Graphics and dedicated 21 years of service to the Ohio State University UniPrint Division until his retirement in 2018.
To know Mike was to laugh with him. He had unforgettable sharp wit and lived life by a humorous piece of wisdom that he loved to share: “If you’re going to be stupid, you’ve got to be tough.” His sharp wit was matched only by his competitive nature. When he was able, Mike was an avid golfer, softball player, and enjoyed boating and water sports. As time went on, he traded sports for a love of traveling, blackjack, and poker.
Yet of all of his titles and adventures, his proudest role was being a grandpa. Mike’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. Every moment playing with them brought him happiness. The undeniable rock of our family, Mike anchored us with his steady heart and unending strength. We love him deeply and miss him beyond words.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Tammy (Epperson) Middleton; son Brian Arthur (Dakoda) Middleton; grandchildren: Clare, Brayson and Bexley Middleton; siblings: Debbie (Mick) Archer, Gary (Jennifer) Middleton, and Theresa Atwell; sister-in-law Jean Cluff; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary; nephews Josh Atwell and Jason Scott Fairall; brother-in-law William Cluff.
A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jim Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris.
In memory of Mike, memorials in his name may be sent to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org.
