WORTHINGTON

Anthony W. “Tony” Worthington, passed away at home on Friday, December 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and deep devotion to his family.

Born August 17, 1962, in Lima, Ohio, Tony was a son of Titus W. Worthington and Betty (Cornwell) Sanders. A 1980 graduate of Galion High School, Tony went on to spend 40 years as a self-employed flooring installation contractor, taking pride in his craftsmanship and strong work ethic.

Tony was a dedicated member of the Harvest Assembly of God in Galloway. A lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he proudly served as a Red Coat for 23 years, a role he cherished and allowed him to further his connection to the Buckeye tradition. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and had a special love for his muscle cars. Above all else, Tony was a devoted family man, and everything he did was rooted in his love for them.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years Carrie (Carson) Worthington; mother Betty Sanders; daughter Heather Lynn Worthington (Cris Aguilar); granddaughters Julia Nicole Worthington and Gia Angelina Aguilar; sisters Anna (Aaron) Meadows and Tammy (Brent) Hunter; several nieces, nephews and cousins; uncle Bailey (Maxine) Worthington; father-in-law Charles Carson.

Tony was preceded in death by his father Titus Worthington and grandson Anthony Gillespie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Harvest Assembly of God, 8075 Dellinger Road, Galloway, Ohio 43119, with Pastor Chris Tomaso officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tony’s name may be sent to benefit the Harvest Assembly of God at the address listed above.
