FINCHUMAllen Finchum passed away at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus, surrounded by family on Tuesday June 4th, 2019. He is survived by his children Eric (Julie) Finchum of Galloway, Ohio and Kimberly Roberson of Hamden, Ohio; his sister Joyce Robertson of London, Ohio; his brothers: Michael (Judy) Finchum of London, Ohio, Lonnie (Vicki) Finchum of London, Ohio, David (Judy) of South Charleston, Ohio, Jeffrey (Georgeann) Finchum of Findlay, Ohio, and Rick Finchum of London; his brother-in-law Gary (Letha) Crow of Elyria, Ohio; his grandchildren: Holly (Colton) Plumb of Richlands, NC, Jeremy (Christen) Finchum of Galloway, Ohio, and Emily (Sean) Waldo of Columbus, Ohio; his great grandchildren: Nolan Plumb of Richlands, NC, Naomi Plumb of Richlands, NC, and Chloe Finchum of Galloway, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Myrtle Finchum of London, Ohio; his wife of 56 years Sharon Crow Finchum of London, Ohio; his sisters Jewel (Jim) Murry of Springfield, Ohio and Thelma (Glendon) Swan of South Charleston, Ohio; his brother in law Kenneth Robertson of London, Ohio; his mother and father-in-law John and Marie Crow of McArthur, Ohio; his sister-in-law Suzanne (John) Sowers of McArthur, Ohio; and his son-in-law Alfred Roberson, Jr of Hamden, Ohio. Allen was born on April 21, 1937 in London, Ohio. He graduated from Madison Rural High School in 1955, and from Ohio University in 1959 with a bachelor's degree in business. He married Sharon in 1960. After welcoming two children into their home, he became a self-less example of a loving father and husband, teaching his strong sense of values and faith in God. He had certification as a Chartered Life Underwriter and belonged to Toastmasters International. Allen also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He was a beloved and honorable, man respected by those he worked with and family alike. Services will include a viewing from 9 to 10:30 am Saturday June 8, 2019 at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 103 N. Main St, London, Ohio 43140. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 am at the funeral home, and Allen will be laid to rest at Paint Township Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Smalley will officiate the ceremony.
