BOGGS Alka Boggs, 98, of London died Sunday, October 4, 2015 in DeGraff, Ohio. Born January 26, 1917 in Flat Gap, KY, she was a daughter of the late Phairo and Effie (Price) Williams. A born again Christian since 1941, she had attended the Free Will Baptist Church. She married Ted Boggs in 1934 in Flat Gap. They moved to Ohio in 1940. She worked at National Fireworks, Inc at Richmondale during the second World War as a final inspector and later the assistant manager of the former GC Murphy Store. She quit work to become a loving wife, mother and friend. Survivors include grandchildren Tracey (Scott) Jack and Charles "Chip" (Marti) Boggs both of KY; step-grandchildren Dick and Ted Wickline and Debbie Thornburg, special daughter in law Dixie Sue Boggs (Harold Pelfrey), five great-grandchildren 11 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Boggs, son Charles "Bing" Boggs, step daughter Jo Wickline, four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St, London with Rev. Roy Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow in Vernon Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM-until time of services Wednesday.
