Robert Virts

VIRTS Bob Virts, 69, of South Charleston, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 in his residence. Born January 2, 1950 in Springfield; he was a son of George and Elizabeth (Inskeep) Virts. Bob retired as Supervisor of the London Street Department after 30 years. He had also worked at Stevenson Air and for the City of Springfield and was retired from the Ohio Air National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 29 years Linda (Whitlock) Virts; daughter Misty Sigman; grandson Elrik (Kayla) Sigman; brothers Tom (Linda) Virts, Steve Virts, Jim (Erma) Virts and Terry (Regina) Virts; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sue McFann and aunt Marianne Price. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday in the United Church of South Vienna, with Pastor Scott Griswald officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11 AM until time of services Saturday. The family suggests memorials be sent to Loving Care Hospice, PO Box 445, London, Ohio 43140.
