Marie (Nettie) Craft, 83, of London died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in First Community Village, Columbus, and entered her forever Heavenly home. Born April 11, 1936 in Rappsburg, Ohio; she was a daughter of John William and Goldie May (Cornell) Craft. Marie was a Charter member of the London Baptist Church. Marie loved singing hymns and praising God. She was known as the Candy Lady at the former G.C. Murphy Company in London, was a waitress at the Coffee Shop, Double A, Center-Main Restaurant and The Greasy Spoon and was a nurse technician at Madison County Hospital for more than 23 years. Survivors include her nieces and nephews Shirley M. Litchfield, John (Pam) Litchfield, Earl (Cate) Green, Earl Hackworth, Nancy Hackworth, Paul (Jane) Hackworth, Ted (Kay) Deneca, Tina (Mike) Hale and Steve (Tammy) Deneca; several great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings, including Carrie Litchfield, Sylvia Green, Evelyn Deneca, Callie Hackworth and Calvin Craft, niece Mary Margaret Craft and nephew Ed Hackworth. The family wishes to thank all of the First Community Village family who loved and cared for her for over 3 years. Also, thank you to National Church Residences Hospice for their love and care to both Marie and Shirley and especially Heather Gruenbaum, case manager. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the London Baptist Church, 1440 St. Rt. 665, London with Pastor Earl Green and the Rev. Sandie Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main street, London from 3-8 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 and one hour prior to services. Following the service at the cemetery, family and friends are invited to a dinner at the London Baptist Church to continue sharing and celebrating her life.
