CONLEY
Kenneth Darwin Conley, 70, of West Jefferson, died Monday, September 30, 2019 in Sisters on Elm, London.
Born June 15, 1949 in Columbus; he was a son of Kenneth and Virginia (Kitchen) Conley.
A US Army veteran of The Vietnam War-where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB) and a bronze star medal; Darwin had worked as an insurance adjuster, done body work and was best known as a local musician. A member of the Clarence Bo Casto Post #7005, VFW and Jefferson Post #201, American Legion; he worked tirelessly helping veterans around the county.
Survivors include his life partner Kelly Scott; son Casey (Brittany) Conley; granddaughter Alice Conley; stepsons Tim (Nannon) Scott and Zach (Lauren) Scott; step grandchildren Wyatt, Hannah, Lyla and Logan; mother Virginia Conley; sister Kay Conley, brother Darel (Kay) Conley; nephew Edward (Elaine) Conley and family; uncle George (Jan) Kitchen; cousin Jerry Kitchen and family; several other family members and many friends, including best friend Larry (Lisa) Gates.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
